The English as a Second Language (ESL) Institute is on the campus of Saint Norbert College (SNC). SNC was established in 1898. We are a four-year, private, comprehensive university. The ESL Institute was opened in 1993 to help students from around the world learn English for professional and academic purposes. We are located on a quiet, peaceful, friendly, beautiful campus in a small town near Green Bay, Wisconsin (pop. 200,000+) on the banks of the Fox River only eight minutes from Green Bay Airport, three hours by car from Chicago, and two hours by car from Madison, Wisconsin. Our 86-acre campus has 31 buildings with some of the best resources and technology available today. Classroom technology allows students to interact with people, events and activities worldwide. All dormitory rooms are linked to the campus computer network including e-mail and internet. The ESL Institute offers: 1. Airport pickup, any time - any day, at Green Bay Airport (GRB) - free. 2. Testing, orientation to campus and community 3. Daily classes: 8:00 a.m. until noon 4. Afternoon tutors (free) 5. Conversation partners with American students (not available in summer) 6. Small classes. Average class size 10. Maximum class size 15 7. Dormitory living with American students in 12 College dormitories. No homestays. 8. Friendship family program (Students do not live with families) 9. Conversation partners with American students 10. Campus organizations including: student newspaper, student government, international club, Japan club, Jazz Choir, Environmental Club, and Intercultural Student Alliance. Numerous sports clubs are also active on campus.

Richard and Linda: When it comes to St. Norbert, I feel like getting homesick. I miss everything that I left in De Pere: a beautiful campus with the Fox River, friends, teachers and tutors. Are the teachers still there? I learned from Jana, Christina, Susie, and Kay. They were all the best. How about tutors? Is John, Jana's husband, still helping students? I have lots of good memories with him; my first NFL game, which made Packers my team, a dart game, bars and so on. I don't remember his name, unfortunately. He worked for a newspaper company. He always liked to talk about political stuff. I guess he has been talking about a gas price lately and how it is going in the world. I have experienced many things since I left St. Norbert in 2006. I left for Omaha, Nebraska at first, and I took a big trip, crossing America from New York to Los Angeles in 2007. Now I am in Scottsdale, Arizona. I was pursuing to get a MS degree when I came to the U.S., but I changed my direction. So I'm taking a personal training program at present. In fact, I just came back from my country for summer vacation and saw friends who I met in SNC. Han, Min, YD, Chihwan, Sungjun, Kate, Grace, they are all missing the time. I think it's because they improved their English a lot over there and had a good time. I agreed with that. I experienced four different ESL programs in the four different states, and I can say that SNC has the best program. Thank you so much Richard and Linda. Yours truly, Yongha Seo

Incredible campus by the Fox River!!! I was such a pleasure to enjoy all the facilities. I got one of the best impressions ever. I guess it was luck who brought me here in the first place. I'm so happy that was able to enjoy such great education. Thank you with all my heard. This was one of those life changed experiences. Great school@!!!!!

The think I liked most about the classes was that we had to work hard, but we had a lot of fun, as well.
