From the day you apply to IEI, our student services are the difference. We are committed to helping you feel comfortable in Middle Tennessee, your home away from home. With advance notice, our administrative staff can arrange placement with one of our American host families to provide a unique opportunity for daily English practice. We can also provide assistance in locating other types of housing.
At the beginning of your first term at IEI, you will receive a complete orientation program to our school and to American culture. If you come to IEI on a student visa, we are ready to counsel and assist you in maintaining your visa status. Emergency assistance and counseling for personal concerns is always available.
Whether you are a beginner or an advanced speaker of English, our classes make the difference that can help you progress quickly. Our small classes allow for maximum individual attention, and our teachers are qualified, caring professionals who share a common goal of helping you to succeed. Full-time students receive twenty-five hours of instruction per week for seven weeks per term with an appropriate balance of group and individual work. Serious students who attend all classes, complete homework assignments, and attempt to speak only English inside and outside the classroom can expect to complete a level during each seven-week term.
